birthday fun

thank you to all of you who sent me birthday wishes last week! chris threw a party in our backyard to celebrate on Saturday night, and although it rained partway through, it was so much fun to see old friends and have a chance to catch up. the summer totally got away from us this year, and although we love Fall in Minnesota, we're sad to see the warm weather fade away. here's a shot of Lucy getting ready for party time... :-)

2007 was AMAZING!

I can hardly believe we're already into the 2nd week of January, 2008. Our lives have been one huge whirlwind for what seems like too long! We have been so blessed by good friends, good family, and amazing clients, and a funny dog to keep us company; and we couldn't be happier with what 2008 has in store for us. We're working fast and furiously to get everything from our 2007 weddings finished up (thank you to those of you who are being so very patient with us), and we anticipate a full schedule for this upcoming wedding season. We've been challenged, stretched, blessed, encouraged, and have grown immensely in 2007, and we're setting goals and working towards our best year yet, both personally and professionally. We wanted to share a few (ok, a LOT) of our favorite images from the year here, and we have also just finished updating the images on our website... so if you haven't visited us there in a while, come by and say "hi"! We'll be adding the slideshow of images to this post in the next day or two, so come back and check it out!

Thanks for making 2007 an AMAZING year for us! We're excited to see what 2008 brings!

Santa is in town!

for those of you who know my dad, you'll recognize this jolly old St. Nick. for those that don't, well, this guy in red is "Santa"! :-) Chris and I, along with Santa & Mrs. Claus, have been doing Santa "events" at various places for the past few years... and Chris and I take pictures, add a cute Christmas border, and print on the spot. Kids and grown-ups alike seem to really enjoy it. We've been collecting donations to help support Tribal kids in the Mountains of Thailand- we'll only do the event for pure charity- and have raised nearly $800 this year. We're blessed to be able to give our talents and resources to assist in helping these kids... $800 will feed 60 children for a YEAR. Hard to believe, but it makes us look at what we have and feel like there is always more we should be doing to give. Next week, we'll be doing our little event at the local Mobile Home Park, for kids that may not receive much more than a picture with Santa and a little gift from him this Christmas. Thank you to those that have contributed and are helping little lives; God will bless you abundantly in return. Here are a few pictures of the Jolly Man in red!

This one's from the local newspaper (thank-you to First National Bank of Northfield for hosting Santa this year & supporting the kids):

two kids giving Santa letters to him and to his reindeer (the one on the right was so shy!)

so busy!

it's been so busy at our house these past couple of months- i'm terribly behind in blogging and keeping all of our friends up to date on what we've been up to! i promise i'll update our most recent events on here in the next week or so... so many exciting events we've been working on. i can't believe that it's almost Thanksgiving!

in the meantime, i'm posting a quick picture of lucy, who's awfully bored these days... i haven't been taking her out to play nearly as often as i used to! we did buy her a new bed though, and a costco supply of new treats, to hopefully keep her busy while she lays in my office with me all hours of the day and night.

check back soon for new posts!
